In the Historic itinerary, Tours Bahia invites you to discover some of the most famous postcards in Brazil. We will start with a visit to Farol da Barra, where you will have a few minutes to enjoy all the beauty of the place and take several photos. Continuing our tour, we will pass the Corredor da Vitória and Campo Grande, which during the carnival serve as walkways for the traditional trios eletricos. Arriving at the Historic Center, the tour is done on foot. Narrow streets, hillsides and many old mansions will take you back in time. Squares, Churches, Museums and Art Galleries give Pelourinho a special charm. Highlights (of which we will visit two internally ) are: Terreiro de Jesus, St. Francis Church, The Mercy Museum, Cathedral Basilica, Casa do Olodum, Church of Our Lady of the Rosary of the Blacks, dent re other must - see attractions and then we will enjoy a delicious typical lunch .
After lunch, you will enjoy a lovely tour through the Lower City of Salvador. A place full of history, culture, art and stunning scenery. Our tour starts with the view of the Itapagipe peninsula before a brief stop at Sorveteria da Ribeira to cool off with a delicious ice cream of typical fruits with exotic flavors (optional). We continue our tour visiting the famous Church of Senhor do Bonfim, which is one of the greatest symbols of religious syncretism between Catholicism and Candomblé in Bahia. The church is also well known for its grid full of colorful ribbons that are tied by worshipers and tourists from all over the world.
Moving towards Fort Mont Serrat , which still keeps some original examples of war weaponry. Right next to it, we will visit Ponta de Humaitá, where the view of the All Saints Bay is amazing. The tour ends with free time for shopping at Mercado Modelo, the largest craft center in Bahia.
