Tours Bahia takes you on an incredible journey through time. On this tour you will learn a little more about the time of Colonial Brazil and the Nobility that inhabited the Recôncavo Baiano. The first city to be visited is Santo Amaro da Purificação, which in addition to it’s natural beauty, the place preserves imposing old buildings , such as the Chapel of Santo Amaro, Solar Paraíso and the Santo Amaro fair. We continue towards Cachoeira, known as a “National Monument City”, the place has some of the most important buildings that are part of the Brazilian history. Some of the highlights of the city are: the Hansen Bahia Foundation, the Irmandade da Boa Morte and the Church Ordem Terceira do Carmo, with its columns and altar bathed in gold. On the other side of the Paraguassu River, there is the city of São Felix, where you will visit the Cultural Center Dannemann, where the best handmade cigars in the country are manufactured . Lunch will take place in a typical farm from the colonial period or in a convent that will give a special touch to this fascinating tour. OPTIONAL: End your Recôncavo tour by learning about one of the most important economic activities in the region: tobacco production. You will be guided through DANNEMANN's tobacco farms and learn about the production process - from seed to cigar. You will visit the greenhouses, the field and the drying and fermentation warehouses. To support the restoration of the Tropical Forest, you will participate in the “Adopt a Tree” project and plant your own tree in the Atlantic Forest.
