Tours Bahia takes you on an incredible journey back in time. On this tour you will learn more about the time of Imperial Brazil and the Nobility who inhabited the Reconcavo Baiano. The first city to be visited is Santo Amaro da Purificação, that besides the natural beauty, the place preserves stately old buildings, such as the Chapel of Santo Amaro and the Solar Paraíso. Than we will head to Cachoeira, named as a “National Monument City”, the place has some of the most important buildings that are part of the history of Brazil. Among them are: Hansen Bahia Foundation which hosted D. Pedro II in 1858 and Princess Isabel in 1885, the Church of Ordem Terceira do Carmo, with its gold-plated altar and columns and the Convent of St. Francisco do Paraguassu, one of the oldest in Brazil.

Across the Rio Paraguassu in Sao Felix, you will visit the Dannemann cultural center, where the best handmade cigars in the country are manufactured. We will have lunch in a typical farm of the colonial engenhos time, which will give a special touch to this fascinating tour.
