To know the culture of a people, nothing better than knowing their markets. We will visit the typical and colorful Sao Joaquim fair, in Água de Meninos. In this large open market, we find local crafts and ceramics, vegetables, fruits, meat, herbs, objects in leathers, Candomblé saints and much more. All of them with very popular prices, of course! During our popular tour we will also visit the Liberdade, one of the city’s largest and one of the most populous neighborhoods in the world. It is in the neighborhood of Liberdade that many of the african descent people live and where the headquarters of the famous African carnival party Ilê Aiê, which each year brings thousands of tourists to watch their shows taking place the weeks before the biggest street carnival in the world, in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil.
