Community Tour – Tour

This is the perfect tour for people who want to know about successful Social Projects and are interested in discovering and interacting in a human and direct way with the local community and the inhabitants of a neighborhood that in the 70’s hosted the largest “palafitas” occupation in Brazil. We will visit some Social Projects realized in the Community and understand theirs importance in improving the quality of residents life of, especially of the children and adolescents and know a bit more about their stories and daily life.

Our first stop will be at the Alagados Cultural Space Headquarters, which offers theater, dance, music, school reinforcement and a nice space with toys and snack for the young people of the community. Then we will visit the Luiza Mahin Community School, founded by the women (mothers) of the Community itself who wanted a local school for their children. Today the school is beautiful, well structured and an important support center for parents and children of the neighborhood. Our visit will provide a direct interaction with these children and the community, we will walk around the neighborhood, take ice cream and know more deeply the reality of a community.
