Abrolhos – Destination
Located just south of Bahia, about 70 km from the coast, the National Marine Park of Abrolhos is considered one of the best spots in the diving world. Its crystal clear waters have various species of coral and a unique and amazing marine life.
The park consists of five islands: Santa Barbara, Sudeste, Redonda, Guarita and Siriba. Besides that, there is also the Parcel of Abrolhos and the Timbebas Reef. The arrival of visitors is allowed only on the island of Siriba, with accompanying monitors from IBAMA (Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources).
In the natural site, you will find natural pools where you can swim in the company of turtles, barracudas, moray eels, groupers, seahorses, among other fish species. In the months of July to October, the main attraction is the visit from humpback whales that come to the area to breed and present a show of jumps, leaving all public amazed. To visit Abrolhos, there are boat trips leaving from the city of Caravelas, the main entrance of the National Park, lasting an entire day. In the months of high season, lodging reservations and services must be made in advance. Without a doubt, this will be a unique and unforgettable journey.
